MWHRDAD SAMIMI (LAAT VA CHAALEMEYDUNI YE HONARI)

دهان یک نقاش باید با کارش یک کلام باشد و اگر نبود همان برای چاله میدون خوب است. امروز مردک پیر نقاشی در پاراگرافی از من خواسته بود که وی را از لیست دوستان "فیسبوک" در آورم. در آخر کلام شخصیت پدریش را به وضوح با شاخ و شونه کشیدن‌های لاتیوار و چاله میدونی مخصوص خانواده‌اش به نمایش گذاشت و خاهشش را اینگونه به پایان رساند. پیش خودم گفتم، این مردک عمری نون به قول خودش "نقاش دربار" بودن باباش را خورد، چرا اینجور جفتک به پیشانی اقلا جلوی مردم تمیز او زد؟ گذشته از آن ، اینها مگه بهائی نیستند؟ باید بگم که تجربه شخصی من از بهائیان تاا به امروز از بهترین بوده. جالب اینجاست که اولین تابلوی نقاشی که به عمرم دیدم، تابلوی پدر بزرگم در کتابخانهٔ او بود که به دست پدر این شخص نقاشی شده بود. امروز یک کار بازاری پیش و پا افتاده، در زمان بچگی‌ یک کار جادوئی که باعث نقاش بودن امروز من بود. به همان جالبی‌ اینکه یکی‌ از نزدیکترین بستگانم نیز بهاییست. گاهی‌ فکر می‌کنم کثیفی و جاهلی اصلا در این قوم وجود ندارد. آدم در چه توههماتی گاه روز‌هایش رو سپری می‌کند! نقاش عالی‌ رتبهٔ تمام کشور و نقاش دربار شاه، یک صورتگر بازاری میشود. یک بهای تبدیل به یک آدم زمینی‌ با همهٔ جهل و کسیفیهایش میشود و یک نقاش تبدیل به یک پادو و لات هنری میشود.

HELP PACI BY SELLING SOME ART WORK

What if I asked all my students to choose one of their good work and enter it into a sort of an auction and donate its money to “PACI” the persian American Cancer institute”? . I just brought up the thought to Dr Hoori Sadler the president of PACI and she will discuss it with PACI’s board and get back with me about it. Here’s the best case scenario; we’re going to have an exhibition with your works and put a spotlight on it. here’s the worst case scenario; we’re going to find a way to sell our work through channels such as Facebook and simply donate them the money. Would it help someone with cancer? I really don’t know! Would it help you sleep better at night? I really hope so!

I would really like to have everyone’s feedback about this.

LANDSCAPE OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP CHATSWORTH

Holly and Gary showed up to my house at 9:30 AM. it wasn't anything fancy, no picnic baskets, no French baguettes and certainly no 7 kind of cheeses and red and white whine chilled on ice. Gary isn't really famous for his attendance and Holly's Fridays are always hectic yet here they were ready to show they meant business. We grabbed the stuff and off to the park we went. It was a wonderful learning experience. Gary kept making fun of the "PERJEEYAN" women and kept asking what would it really take to get them away from their safe walls to the naked nature. we painted and painted. It was Holly's first time ever doing a live landscape and I think she really loved it. Here's what we're going to do. We're shooting for the Friday after the next one the 20th. We're doing this again and this time we're going to take our sheets and cheeses and whine and breds and we're going to turn it into a seriously fun picnic/workshop. they say if you build it they will come and we're going to build it. I don't care if it's going to be only Holly and myself again but we're going to do this. this is for all of you Persian princesses who criticize the studio for it's "copying" philosophy and techniques. You don't want to copy in your own little minds you say? well, here's the opportunity. If you're not going to show up? please spare me from your bull crap about how you're not learning anything any more because you're copying and you want to be free of it. I am so sick to my stomach of such cliché words which you yourselves know not the meaning of, that I couldn't begin to describe it. Here's your opportunity to your so called artistic freedom.
